Serenity Now

I’m trying to keep an open mind, but so far I am realllllly not liking Boston. At all.

First there is the whole “Masshole” thing. If an entire region takes pride in driving in the most obnoxious fashion possible it might be time to reconsider your priorities. I’ll see a light turn red a half block away and take my foot off the accelerator, coasting towards it at speed. Invariably the person behind me is driving an SUV and floors it, racing hard up on my bumper. They’ll then swerve wildly until they can get in another lane, by which time they slam on the brakes just before rear-ending someone else. The thing is, they aren’t angry like the obnoxious drivers in NYC are. They are completely calm, passively agreeing to drive like a bunch of dicks.

There is no parking anywhere in the city. Not a single spot. Not one.

So far the restaurants are below par. Haven’t explored nearly enough but the early results aren’t promising.

All the effing college kids. Roaming armies of semi-witless kids constantly in your way. Christ they are everywhere.

So far it has rained everyday.

Might turn this into a Boston hate blog.
