This is a real thing
So it’s Sean Penn basically playing Robert Smith from the Cure. But he’s a retired recluse living in Ireland who still dresses in full costume. He hears that his father is sick but is afraid to fly so he takes a boat to the states. Due to his slow travel he misses his father’s passing and arrives in time for the funeral. Going through his father’s belongings, he finds that dad was hunting a Nazi who had humiliated him in the concentration camp. He drives his father’s old pickup on a zany cross country trip to hunt down the Nazi.
EDIT after a brief discussion with my pal I realized that I actually worked on this film. Christ, it’s embarrassing sometimes.
